27% of Compulsive Gamblers Under 25 In One Australian Town

"Gamblers are getting younger and younger. Nearly 27 per cent of Victoria's problem gamblers are under 25 years of age," Mr Lucas said.

Mr. Lucas is the Community Connections problem gambling educator in the Australian city of Warrnambool where just 252 slot machines generated nearly 16 million dollars in revenue. That equates to an average of $711.00 per player per year according to the article posted today in the Daily Standard. The nationwide average is closer to $500.00 per person.
