Loaded £500 into my Online Poker account and spent a couple of days spiralling downwards. Ended up losing all my original buy in. I played at stakes that were too high and I was far too aggressive with my poker chips.

Live Poker Losses: £200
OverviewNormally my girlfriend hangs on to all my credit and debit cards, but today was an exception; I needed to pay my balance and my card came along for the ride. The payment resulted in delaying a couple of big guys from visiting my home, brandishing a baseball bat swinging it in my direction, while demanding their money back. However unfortunately the temptation of a gamble was too great and

Live Poker Losses: £50
Overview
My best recovery to date, was abstaining for a total of 140 days approx. 4 and a half months, beating my previous best by one and a half months. Having relapsed, all of that good work can seem like a distant memory, but I must not forget that my recovery is not cyclical but in fact a spiral leading upwards and having relapsed I may have temporarily slipped back down, but I do not lose

Today was a bad day: Donking a couple of hundred online
I downloaded the Poker Client in preparation for the tournament; bad mistake. Now poker is once again available 24 hours a day 7 days a week! I deposited £200. I played for too long and like a donkey; chips rarely feel like money and in the world of online poker cash is just a bunch of digits; but that's not true currency is currency regardless of how it is represented and even so that is no

Today was a bad day: Second Self Exclusion from a Poker Casino
After having recently self excluded from a Poker Casino, less than 24 hours later and I was at another casino playing poker with a short stack strategy. No rules just minimum buy in costing £50. No rules means no ability to make a decision to self exclude right?
I managed to triple up but then over a period of time lost this and even more in buy ins. The only thing that stopped me from

Today was a bad day: First Self Exclusion from a Poker Casino
So, here I am again, deep in the world of Poker. I am so tired right now I could literally fall asleep for two days. I am stressed, over worked and under nourished yet I am compelled to gamble.
I realised something important about my gambling, I think I previously played to lose; sounds strange I know, but losing the money is like a release it seems to be a destressor and so I would make less

Poking fun at a Pair of Queens at the poker table
Today was such a busy day, but despite my mind being preoccupied with a hundred and one things I needed to do, there was still room for fleeting thoughts about gambling. I became preoccupied about poker ranges and how the other night I lost a huge pot with a premium hand: QQ against AA and AK.
I re-evaluated my play and considered a different strategy considering all the possibilities in terms

Live Poker Losses: £55 (Tournament)
Overview
I had not gambled for 11 days, but temptation got the better of me and I ended up buying in to a tournament, which I subsequently lost. Note how my musings yesterday meant nothing to my addiction. It is because of this I will always be honest with my struggle to quit poker even if I relapse a thousand times, this account will be my life long dedication of pain and suffering but hopefully
